The History
Sveti Stefan is inspired by the design of the Venetian Friulane. Made in a traditional way, adorned with velvets or with colorful oriental silks.
It all started during Marta Abad trip in Milan while she was doing a master’s degree. There she fell in love with the elegance and simplicity of the Venetian friulane, timeless, comfortable shoes suitable for combining with any type of look. Patricia, her sister, graduated in business administration, she relied on the island of Sveti Stefan (San Esteban) for the name of the brand. The Island was used as a fortress during the Venetian-Turkish war in 1442. Today it is a large luxury hotel frequented by celebrities from all over the world. Thanks to a trip through the Adriatic she was able to be inspired by the name of the Montenegrin island to create her brand.
The sisters together with their partner Ana Gómez Panero decided to launch Sveti Stefan into the world in 2020, and in a very short time it has become a successful shoe brand that influencers, celebrities and those who know the most about fashion and trends have already used.

The manufacturing process is 100% handmade in Spain. They believe that artisan processes give value to our national and local culture, empowering our diversity and the know-how of generation after generation.
