Mallorca is full of beautiful beaches and coves where you can swim and sunbathe. In this post, we talk about the best beaches in Mallorca sorted by location.
Best beaches in north Mallorca
In the north of Mallorca, we can find hidden coves and great beaches. There are some of the bests, ordered from west to east:
- Cala Tuent: Cala Tuent is 100 m long. It’s usually calmer than the next, Sa Calobra, so it’s a good place for snorkelling.
- Sa Calobra: after going through a sneaky road, we arrive to Sa Calobra, which is divided in two beaches: one, Cala Sa Calobra, has 30 meter long and the other, Torrent de Pareis, 100 meter long. For arriving to this last, it’s necessary to walk 1 km. In summer, it’s also possible to arrive by ferry.

- Cala Torta: next to Cala Mitjana, this beach it’s inside a natural reserve, and it is 130 m long. The only service is a beach bar. The waves and currents can be strong, so we have to be careful, and it’s not recommended for kids.
In this part of the island, we also have larger sandy beaches such as:
- Formentor: one of the most popular beaches. It’s 1.000 m long, and it’s located in an unspoiled environment, surrounded by pines.
